本アーティストは、舞踊を通じた物語表現と異文化交流を主軸に活動している。日本の古典文学や各地の民話・伝承を題材とし、身体表現によって物語を再構築する独自の舞台作品を継続的に発表している。

これまで、オリエンタルダンス（ベリーダンス）を用いたストーリー形式の舞台作品を多数制作。ベリーダンスと歴史的・文化的につながりを持つ地域の民話を日本の観客に紹介する試みとして、シリアの女王ゼノビアを題材とした作品を東京・大阪・岡山で上演したほか、2019年4月にはトルコの蛇伝説「シャーマラン（Shahmaran）」をもとにした舞台作品を発表している。

近年はジョージア民族舞踊の研究と実践にも力を注ぎ、2019年より本格的に研鑽を重ねている。2024年には、子ども向けイベントにおいて、ジョージア民族舞踊を取り入れた約20分間の物語作品『コーカサス ヒーロー』を創作し、10月に初演。音楽や舞踊に加え、掛け声や手拍子など観客参加型の構成を取り入れることで、特に幼児層にとって印象深い舞台体験を提供した。

2025年には、画家ニコ・ピロスマニを題材とした作品を現地トビリシで発表したほか、現在は日本の昔話『竹取物語』をジョージア舞踊によって表現する国際共同制作を将来的な目標として掲げている。本企画は、日本とジョージア双方の観客にとって、物語と舞踊の理解が相互に補完される構造を持ち、文化的対話を促進する舞台芸術として高い可能性を有している。

ジョージア民族舞踊が持つ卓越した芸術性と創造性に着目し、その表現を物語舞踊として発展させる本アーティストの取り組みは、異文化協働による新たな舞台表現のモデルとして注目されている。

Profile 

The artist focuses on storytelling through dance and cross-cultural collaboration. Drawing inspiration from Japanese classical literature as well as folktales and legends from various regions, they create stage works that reconstruct narratives through physical expression.

They have produced numerous story-based performances using Oriental dance (belly dance), introducing Japanese audiences to folktales from regions historically and culturally connected to this dance form. Major works include a production based on the story of Queen Zenobia of Syria, presented in Tokyo, Osaka, and Okayama, and a story-based performance inspired by the Turkish snake legend Shahmaran, staged in April 2019.

Since 2019, the artist has been deeply engaged in the study and practice of Georgian folk dance. In 2025, they created a 20-minute story performance titled Caucasus Hero, incorporating Georgian folk dance, which premiered on October 6 at a children’s event. The work featured a participatory structure, encouraging young audiences to engage through cheering, clapping, and movement, creating a memorable theatrical experience especially for early childhood audiences.

Currently, the artist is preparing a story-based performance for adults inspired by the painter Niko Pirosmani. Looking ahead, they aim to realize an international collaborative production that expresses the Japanese folktale The Tale of the Bamboo Cutter through Georgian dance, seeking to create a new form of stage art that connects Japanese and Georgian cultures.
